WHEELY BUG RIDE ON TOYS ON CASTORS FOR MULTI-DIRECTIONAL FUN

Wheely Bug was created in Australia in 1995 by a young couple looking to start their own business. After witnessing their neighbours' 1 year old son becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of control he had over his fixed wheel ride on vehicle toy, whenever anything blocked his path, they came up with the innovative idea of designing a ride on toy with multi-directional castors. After settling on animals as a theme for their new ride on toys, they began to design and develop a prototype of the now famous ladybird Wheely Bug. It had a solid plywood base with smooth contours and the body was padded and covered in durable easy-to-clean leatherette. After passing the required safety tests, they began producing 50 Wheely Bugs per week from home, selling them all to Child Care Centres until a toy shop saw one and placed an order for 12. Wheely Bug went into full production supplying retail shops across Australia as word of this revolutionary new ride on toy spread and its popularity grew. In 2000 the brand began exporting across the globe and production moved to an ethical factory in China. Today the Wheely Bug is very well known and the range has expanded to include many different animals. Two recent additions - a panda and a hedgehog - even come with removable plush covers. Toddlers and young children love the ease with which they can whizz around on these bright friendly animal characters. There are two sizes available. The small version is suitable for children aged 1 year plus and the large one is recommended for age 3 plus. If you are looking for a durable and fun ride on toy that can be passed down through the generations, Wheely Bug is the one for you!
