The Janod toy company was founded in 1970 in Orgelet, France by Louis Janod. Alongside associate, Serge Salvi, Louis and a small team of like-minded individuals began creating traditional wooden toys like yo-yos and skittles with modern design twists to increase their appeal to the current generation of children. As the range of toys grew throughout the following three decades, the brand gained more and more fans. In 2004 the Juratoys group was formed, and Janod moved into the international market. The brand offers beautifully painted, wooden walking trolleys and bricks and classic style rocking horses in bright patterns for toddlers aged 1 year and above.
